​OUR HISTORY

​Saint Luke Lutheran School was founded by Assistant Pastor John Mueller from St. James Lutheran Church in Lincoln Park. In 1904, Saint Luke Lutheran School opened on the corner of Belmont Avenue and Perry Street (now known as Greenview Avenue). From 1961-1967, the Church was renovated and a new school facade was added at 1500 W. Belmont Avenue.

​Our building has been part of the Lakeview community for over 120 years. We have large classrooms with lots of natural light, a full-size gymnasium, a brand new Makerspace, library, music room, art room, devotions & resource room, cafeteria/auditorium with stage, before & after care room, private playground, garden space and our own indoor rock climbing wall.  ​
