OUR HISTORY |

He was called to this position to open a Christian Day School at Hoyne & Wellington streets and gather members for a "daughter congregation" in the Lakeview area, and in 1884 Saint Luke Church was founded. In 1904, Saint Luke Lutheran School was opened on the corner of Belmont Avenue and Perry Street (now known as Greenview Avenue). From 1961-1967, the Church was renovated and a new school facade was added at 1500 W. Belmont Avenue.
